A Magical Musical Miracle
Last Tuesday, I accompanied Nathan and all of the third graders from our elementary school on a field trip to see and hear the Oklahoma City Philharmonic. The students rode the buses while I and the other privileged parents followed them in our own vehicles. When we arrived, they led us down to the front row! It was so awesome that we had front row seats for the performance!! I hadn't even thought of the possibility of them sitting us so close to the instruments. Nathan seemed fine with it but, if we had been given this opportunity a few years ago, we would have had to sit further away. He has always been sensitive to noises and usually tells, not asks, everyone to make it stop. We have learned to have an escape route, or at least an alternate plan to keep him happy. This was a happy miracle and a milestone in Nathan's progress! If you happen to live in Oklahoma, know someone who does or will be vacationing in Oklahoma in the near future, please check out the facebook page for the Oklahoma City Philharmonic.
If you are visiting Nathan's Voice for the first time, I encourage you to read about how it all started by clicking here. Thank you for taking time to stop by and we look forward to getting to know you in the future!
